The Challenge

HCRG Care Group and The Learning Enterprise, a leading healthcare provider, approached us to support the creation of a new eLearning module focused on the role of a chaperone in clinical practice.

With a diverse audience of healthcare professionals, the client needed a resource that would clearly and effectively communicate best practices, while also being accessible to learners at varying levels of experience.

In addition to the core module, they required a separate remediation module — a streamlined version designed as a quick check-in for more advanced learners. The timeline was tight, with a very short turnaround requested for the full build.

The Solution

Working within the constraints of a fast-paced delivery, we developed an engaging and interactive module using Articulate Storyline. The learning experience was enriched with voiceover narration, animations, and interactive features, ensuring the content was clear, accessible, and engaging.

To support knowledge retention, knowledge checks were integrated throughout, helping learners stay actively engaged and assess their understanding in real time.

A final quiz was included at the end of the module, allowing learners to test their knowledge and reinforce key takeaways.

A fresh, modern illustration style was adopted across both modules, aligning with HCRG’s branding while also creating a more inviting and approachable learning experience.

The Results

The final product was a user-friendly, informative, and interactive module that simplified the learning journey and made educational content on chaperoning in clinical practice more accessible and relatable for staff.

The accompanying remediation module offered a fast-track option, supporting differentiated learning and meeting the needs of a busy healthcare workforce.

By incorporating a modern, accessible and inclusive design, the modules are now being rolled out as part of a wider initiative to modernise training and empower staff across HCRG Care Group.
