History, Brand Essence & Career Pathways

Working alongside SAKS Hair & Beauty we created a custom-made, brand induction, packed full of interactive learning materials. Aimed at welcoming new starters the eLearning introduces them to the brand and what it means to a part of it.

The Brief

The brief was to deliver high-quality brand induction eLearning.  The aim of the induction is to help all new starters understand and buy into the SAKS brand and what it stands for from day one. 

The induction needed to, on a functional level welcome the user into their new role at SAKS, but also be inspirational and motivational, encouraging the user to make an emotional connection with the company’s ethos.

What We Did

First impressions count, and it’s no different for new starters. We designed the induction to conjure up the ‘feel good factor’ that the SAKS brand represents and the emotional connection that comes with it.

We took a brand-led approach, conveying the personality of the company and the key messages. Using a mix of video, imagery and carefully crafted wording, we put across the genuine, client-centric approach of SAKS. 

To keep learners engaged we took a micro-learning approach, creating short, fun sections that explained SAKS history, vision and key factors to success. We used a mixture of interactive media including photo’s and video's featuring real-life scenarios, staff and customers to explain each topic and make it feel real.

The Results

SAKS Hair & Beauty were pleased with the custom-made fully branded, brand induction and have rolled it out across the UK as part of their induction and onboarding process.

Learners are able to access the brand induction from their mobile, tablet, laptop or desktop, meaning they can complete the course at their own pace from the comfort of their own home, the office, wherever and whenever suits them best.
