Online videos for Lincoln College
Students thinking about studying at Lincoln College are now able to have an insight into what it’s really like to be a student there.
We’ve been on-site filming footage to create a day in a life video with students who volunteered to be followed around all day by our cameraman Steve. The footage is available to view online at http://www.youtube.com/LincolnCollegeTV

There are also some other videos showing what Lincoln College can offer and show why they are a great place to continue your education.

New website and Facebook launch for Charity
Having supported the local Hospice for the last 10 years, we were the natural choice when it came to developing their new website and enhancing their online presence.

When we were approached about the website, we wanted to make it fun and exciting. Visitors needed a reason to return to the site, while also being able to find essential information. So, to do this we built a whole range of features, including a Competitions section, Smile of the Week and a Photo Gallery, to name a few.
And to make it simple to update, we have implemented Umbraco as an easy-to-use CMS (Content Management System). The new website is now live and can be visited at www.standrewshopsice.com

While the website was the main focal point of developing the online presence for the hospice, we have also launched a Facebook and Twitter campaign to connect with a wider audience. Both have been a huge success and the uptake, in just a few weeks has been fantastic. To view and 'Like' the hospice Facebook page, the link is www.facebook.com/standrewshospice

Premier League takes us to Mayfair
Our team have been in London for the International Broadcasters Workshop held by the Premier League. After working with the organisation for a number of years, we were recommended and have been lucky enough to work with a new department.

We were able to provide Full HD equipment for their conference and produced some branded graphics for the stage set giving it the finishing touch it needed. Using Blu-Ray and a 65" Plasma screen along with sound enhancement around the room, we were able to provide a first class solution for their event all at short notice.
Overall, another great event, very happy clients = happy First Media Team!

First team provide support for HCF Annual Conference
The Annual Dinner, hosted by HCF recently took place at the Forest Pines Hotel and as the media partner for HCF, we were on hand to provide AV support and provide all promotional and branded material for the event. This is the second year First Media have been sponsors of the event and it was a good to meet some familiar faces.

The event gave HCF members and other companies within the chemical and renewable sector the chance to network and enjoy a night of good food and company, a real opportunity for everyone to let their hair down!
To give the event some glitz and glamour our team designed and built a fully branded stage-set. It was a great night, enjoyed by all!

Shane talks to Sport and Active Leisure Students
Shane was recently invited along to Grimsby Town Football Club to speak to Sports and Active Leisure Students from North East Lincolnshire. Having worked in the Sports Industry for nearly ten years, he was asked to give the learners an insight into the Sport and Media industry. The students found the talk really interesting and Shane hopefully inspired their future career decisions!

Shane's presentation on Working in the Sports Industry can be viewed here. As ever, we wanted the presentation to be engaging and exciting, so we built it in our favourite presentation software Prezi.

Conference Season Tees off with English Golf Union
The English Golf Union held their annual conference at the National Golf Centre in Woodhall Spa on the 22nd and 23rd February 2011. Our AV Team were on site proving full AV support including stage set and graphics. The two days included key note speakers Chris Grant from 14A Conversation, also Steve Grainger from Youth Sport Trust and interactive workshop sessions to help delegates understand how to attract new members to their clubs and get them involved in Golf.

Trying to get away from the usual stereotypes, this year's conference was all about getting new groups of people involved that wouldn't usually consider the sport. The evening awards dinner saw many volunteers getting awards for their achievements and this year saw Helen Tang getting an award for Young Volunteer of the year in the category of 18 - 25 year olds. She is full of enthusiasm for all sport and enjoys working with children and getting them involved in playing the game, being a non golfer, this award shows you don't always have to know about the game to get involved and make a real difference.
