A series of online courses made for apprentices

League Football Education needed to develop a series of online courses to cover Coaching Skills, the Pitfalls of Social Media, Drugs Awareness, Sexual Health and more.

The Challenge

League Football Education (LFE) needed to develop a series of online courses to cover Safeguarding, Social Media, Drug Awareness, Employee Rights, Gambling, Health & Safety and Equality and Diversity. With an audience of young, aspiring footballers, it was important that the courses were engaging and packed with interactive content. They also wanted to future-proof the courses, moving away from old Flash content.

With an audience of young, aspiring footballers, it was important that the LFE courses were engaging and easy to use. They also wanted to future proof the courses, getting away from old Flash content, modernising the approach to online learning.

Incentivised Learning

We developed a series of highly-engaging and visual courses, which divided the content up into bite-size chunks, making it clear and easy for the learner. We wanted the user to have fun while taking the course and learn along the way. And, playing on the competitive nature of young footballers, they could earn badges which incentivised the learning!

The content includes bespoke illustrations, scenarios and was built on our multi-device platform, making the content available for mobile, tablet and desktop. It’s also SCORM compliant content, meaning that learners’ progress could be easily tracked and monitored.

The Results

The courses 'hit the mark' and were successfully rolled out to Apprentices at Football League Clubs throughout England.
