We're hiring - Creative Digital & eLearning Designer
Creative Digital & eLearning Designer
Bring Learning and Digital Experiences to Life!
First Media are looking for a full-time, mid-senior level Creative Digital & eLearning Designer who loves crafting beautiful, intuitive digital experiences. Someone who can switch comfortably between designing engaging eLearning content, shaping user journeys, and producing clean, modern UI for websites and digital platforms.
We're a friendly, creative team working with organisations in sectors such as education, sport, and charity. We work with several global brands and are looking for someone who’s excited to help us bring ideas to life.
Where you'll be working
This role is mainly work-from-home. Occasional visits to our Louth office for creative sessions, workshops, or team catch-ups are desirable, typically 1–2 times per week but will be dependent on what we’re working on. You should therefore be able to travel to the office when needed.
So, what will you be doing?
- Designing eye-catching, engaging digital learning experiences using Adobe Creative Suite, XD/Figma, Articulate Storyline, Rise, and similar tools.
- Creating UI and UX designs for websites, microsites, and digital platforms.
- Turning scripts, ideas, and briefs into great-looking layouts, user journeys, and visual styles.
- Producing graphics, illustrations, icons, and other creative assets.
- Making occasional simple tweaks using basic HTML5/CSS (nothing heavy, just helpful to know).
- Building modules in Articulate Storyline or Rise (experience in either is ideal, but we're happy to support learning).
- Contributing to wireframes, prototypes, and user flows.
- Making sure everything follows good accessibility and usability practice.
- Collaborating with our wider Creative and Development teams to deliver polished, high-quality work.
What experience and skills you’ll need for the role
We’re looking for someone creative, organised, and excited to design digital experiences people actually enjoy using.
You should have:
- Experience in digital design, UI/UX, and/or eLearning design.
- A strong portfolio showing your design thinking and visual style.
- Confidence using Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Illustrator, Photoshop, XD/Figma).
- Experience designing for Storyline, Rise, or similar digital learning tools.
- Basic HTML5/CSS knowledge for small edits when needed.
- A good eye for layout, typography, colour, and visual hierarchy.
- The ability to manage your own workload and handle multiple projects.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- A positive, curious attitude and willingness to learn new tools and approaches.
Nice to have (but not essential):
- Experience with or working knowledge of simple animation or motion graphics.
- Understanding of accessibility standards for digital design and eLearning.
- Experience or working knowledge of creating website wireframes or prototypes.
- Familiarity with user testing or UX research.
