Children's Hospice Week 2019
#Childrenshospiceweek is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for children’s hospice and palliative care services across the UK.
It’s been the case since we first developed a college website that plugged directly into our eProspectus (the Area Prospectus and Application system software) over a decade ago.
We’ve had the pleasure of working with several Further Education Colleges to develop their websites and modernise their entire application process. But what’s so ‘great’ about our college websites?
Well, everything. It looks great, it saves people time and it’s super easy to use. We don’t want to blow our own trumpet or anything, but we think it meets the need of every Further Education College in the UK. And here’s why…
We design our college websites with a young audience in mind. They are always packed with strong visuals and vibrant colours and every page is built to display on mobile. Plus, features such as the career pathways pages and the course search function puts the user at the centre of everything.
There’s also a full application management system made for both students and college administrators. This includes custom fields, bite-size sections and the ability to filter, review and export applications. And if that wasn’t enough itself, it can also link directly with the Local Authority’s online Area Prospectus, meaning that course information and applications can be managed through a single interface!
What’s more, colleges with a Connect website have also seen an increase in the number of enrolments. We redesigned Franklin College’s website and then utilised various marketing channels, platforms and products with the aim of engaging with their target audience. Using social media and Google Ad campaigns, we were able to boost the number of applications and enrolments for 2019/20 academic year.
“First Media have worked to really pull forward how we present ourselves as a powerful voice in our community. And the proof in the pudding has been an over recruitment of 150 students in 2019 against a flat demographic.”
