 As a county Lincolnshire is rich in land, agriculture, history and heritage, as a result, businesses are spoilt for choice of where to run their meetings, events, exhibitions and conferences. There are large halls and hotels with acres of land, plenty of rooms and parking, there are also hidden gems offering 5* service for a reasonable price. Hull is the current UK City of Culture and offers a vibrant and unique environment for work and play! Honestly, choosing just 5 venues is tough but here goes…(in no set order)

Lincoln DoubleTree by Hilton

Situated in the University city of Lincoln the DoubleTree overlooks the Brayford Marina, a tranquil waterfront in the city centre. Popular with tourists and businesses alike it offers, quality, comfort and luxury. Home to the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill restaurant and The Electric cocktail bar, guests can enjoy fine food, drink and panoramic views of the city Skyline.  Ideal for conferences and events this contemporary venue offers added value to delegates travelling from afar. The venue offers two large function rooms ideal for charity gala’s, annual dinners, conferences and staff parties.  

It’s made our top 5 for its central location, large function rooms and fine dining and cocktails!  

 

Forest Pines Hotel

Part of the Q Hotels group, Forest Pines in known in the area as a go-to location for annual dinners, conferences and exhibitions. The spa hotel offers contemporary accommodation, spa and leisure facilities including a round of golf for those who partake!

The space available is vast and versatile with two large function rooms, restaurants and hotel accommodation it’s a great place to run your event.

The largest and arguably most well known locally is The Tennyson Suite with a capacity to host 364 delegates. Joined to the Tennyson, the Newton Suite offers capacity for a further 280 people. There is plenty of break out areas and the venue can be adapted entirely to your needs.

Forest Pines made our top 5 because it offers 8 great conference rooms and plenty of space! Located just off the M180. It’s easy to get to, has plenty of car parking and a friendly team ready to support your event.

 

Market Rasen Racecourse

Best known for horse racing, Ladies Day and hosting acts including Olly Murs and Paloma Faith, the Racecourse is a dark horse in the events and conferencing world. Having recently refurbished the Red Rum bar it provides an ideal location for expo’s, meetings and networking events.

As with the other venues in our top 5, it offers versatility. There are plenty of bars, function rooms and private dining areas as well as outdoor space to add marquee’s, exhibitions you name it! The venue is central to Grimsby, Louth and Lincoln and works closely with hotels in these areas.

The Racecourse offers in-house catering, champagne receptions and where applicable marketing support both at the racecourse itself and online.

Lincolnshire Showground

Arguably the largest of the Lincolnshire venues, the showground offers oodles of indoor and outdoor space. The Exhibition Hall located in the unique Epic Centre building offers 1,315 square meters of multifunctional space. Known in the region for hosting large conferences, fairs, charity dinners, concerts and exhibitions it’s one of the most popular venues for local businesses. The Showground also offers The Tennyson Pavillion a stand-alone modern building, 60 square meters with built-in kitchen facilities and plenty of natural daylight! An ideal space for private meetings, training days and small dinner parties.

Unlike the other venues, it doesn’t have its own restaurant or accommodation but can provide catering and transport services.

It makes our top 5 because it’s a really unique building, designed to be eco-friendly, using a variety of renewable energy sources to power itself. It is situated in vast, beautiful grounds, with plenty of space for team building activities, group photo’s BBQ’s you name it!

However, it doesn’t stop there, the Showground has great links with local business and media, often working in partnership with these organisations to promote your event.

The Pride of Hull – P&O Ferries

If you fancy something a little more adventurous P&O Ferries Hull offer fantastic packages to help your event ‘set sail!’. Ideal for team building activities, training days, product launches and small conferences. With views of the Humber Estuary and the opportunity for an overnight trip to Rotterdam, the ferry offers a unique venue to host your next event. There are a variety of options including overnight hire, where you and your guests can stay onboard as the ferry sets sail or you can host the event on the ship as its docked.

Either way, The Pride of Hull offers, great customer service, off duty shopping and hire of two cinema screens, making for a less formal; more relaxed environment delegates will enjoy.
