Simple Steps to Creating a Successful Launch Event
So you’ve spent years, planning and creating your product. You’ve got a refined marketing plan and a budget in place. As part of the marketing you want to launch with a real bang. Naturally you want to create a successful launch event. In my experience, the launch event is really important. It's the first opportunity to showcase your product to buyers, shareholders or customers. This means it has to be seamless, memorable and exciting. With this in mind we've put together a few simple steps to guide you on your way to a successful launch event.
Get The Look
Wow your guests from the moment they set foot in the door by creating a fully branded venue. Branding the venue creates that initial buzz for your guests. It makes them feel like they are there for something interesting, special or exclusive. Its also great for creating brand awareness and can be used to communicate your key messages. A great example of this is the work we did for the PGMOL's annual conference. At this conference we used the event design and branding to signpost the activities, the agenda and even display acheivements.
We know that over 90% of messaging to the brain is visual so including video, digital signage, banners etc... is important. We also know that people like to touch and interact with products they might buy...for example you wouldn't buy a car without driving it first! So be innovative about how guests and delegates can do this. Let potential customers interact with the product through trials, simulations or live demonstrations. The launch event should be the main catalyst to kickstart the buying process. So make it memorable, have fun and get people talking.
