Lincs2.co.uk Online Prospectus launched for 2010
First Media have been working with Lincs2 for the last 5 years to design and develop www.lincs2.co.uk, the regions online prospectus. This year we have continued to develop the website, introducing new branding and have also provided material to help promote Lincs2 with a wide range of printed items such as leaflets, posters and banners.
The website has been updated with new content ready for the start of the new school term and continues to be a useful portal for information.
Lincs2 have also decided to make the most of touchscreen technology by using one of our custom touch screen stations to demo the website when out on the road. The handy kit allows easy transport and even easier set-up and can be branded to any clients requirements.

Sir Trevor Brooking and Alec Stewart join First Media Team
First Media were a main sponsor for the recent PPF (Professional Players Federation) Conference held in London. The event, hosted by Brendon Batson featured a range of speakers including Alec Stewart MBE, Sir Trevor Brooking and former Liverpool CEO Rick Parry.
The theme of the event was “Heart and Soul – Sport in the UK today” and aimed to give a better understanding of the challenges facing professional sportspeople. The work with the PPF continues our work in the sports sector.
Our team worked alongside the PPF to organise and promote the event. We developed an online ticketing system and website www.ppfevents.org.uk as well as providing AV support and branding for the conference. Shane also bumped into David Pleat on his travels!

One New Team and a trip to the cinema for the RFU at annual conference…
The 2010 RFU CB Volunteers Conference was held over 2 days at the Barcelo Hotel in Hinckley.
'One New Team' was the message the team wanted to get across to the delegates and we helped in branding the event, making it come to life. With life size cut-outs of rugby players on stage and bringing a game show element into the mix, it worked really well and was well received by the audience.
Day 2 focused on the UK hosting the Rugby 2015 World Cup and the positive effect it will have for volunteers. With a new stage set for the second day, RFU branded USB sticks, popcorn and a film trailer produced by our video team, it gave the event a glitzy cinema feel.
With interactive panel discussions and interview sessions, the conference was engaging and informative but most of all enjoyed by all who attended… the staff even had a great time too!

Filming for new FA Educational DVD
As our work continues with The FA, we had National Referee Manager Janie Frampton come to visit us to take part in some filming for an educational DVD we are working on. The DVD will be used as a Theory Assessment tool for UK referees and will be a key training aid in their development.
With shots being filmed on the pitch and also using our in house green screen, we are happy that the final product will be beneficial to many across the country. You never know, the next Howard Webb could be amongst them!

Video Production for Family Intervention Project
Our cameraman and director have been working with the North East Lincolnshire Family Intervention Project (FIP) to film and edit a DVD which will be used to show what the FIP Team do and how they help families in the community.
Taking an holistic approach, the FIP Team work with families to help with their problems and issues, giving them the opportunity to learn and develop valuable skills to assist with their day to day lives.
Filming took place at the FIP offices and included interviews with the team, who gave an insight into their roles. The crew also met with families involved in the project to give them the chance to voice their opinion about the project and how it has benefited them and improved their lives.
Custom printed polo shirts were also produced for the FIP team to wear at an event at Grimsby’s Ice House
The work that the FIP team do is valuable to North East Lincolnshire and we hope that the projects continues. Keep up the good work!

As part of the sponsorship our team designed a new stage set, provided full AV support and produced all of the branded material for the event – including a glossy brochure, which provided a memento of the evening.
First Media also had a table at the event and hosted guests from around the region. The event was a fantastic evening enjoyed by all, with BBC sports presenter Gary Richardson providing excellent entertainment as the after dinner speaker. Take a look at some of the photos…

New college website design for Franklin
Our work in the education sector continues as our creative team launch a new college website for Franklin 6th Form College. The website combines strong visual design with an intuitive CMS (Content Management System), making the website appealing to new students and easy to update for the marketing team.
To help save time when updating courses we have also cleverly integrated the website with the local online prospectus, Lincs2. The website draws all course information from Lincs2, which means that the content only needs to be updated in one place.
Have a look at www.franklin.ac.uk and see for yourself. We love it. You’ll love it!

Rugby Football Union - Print design for the RFU!
Having worked with the RFU for over 7 years, providing E-Learning Design and Conference Services, we were the natural choice for the RFU (Rugby Football Union) when it came to designing their new Volunteering resources.
As part of the project we filmed, edited and produced a new video aimed at recruiting volunteers as well as designing and conceptualising a DVD-Rom and booklet, which made up a useful pack for all grassroots clubs in the country.
Our film crew have been travelling around the country visiting Rugby Clubs to film footage for the DVD, and photography for the booklets. Talking with volunteers, our crew were able understand why volunteering is so beneficial to help grassroots clubs and identify the important issues. These were then reflected throughout the resources to highlight how important volunteers are to the game and also how volunteering can also be beneficial to indvidiuals
This will be a high impact campaign by the RFU and we hope that with our help it will increase the number of volunteers in clubs all over the country. Below are some of the resources we have produced...

Custom exhibition stand for Careshow
Our sister company First Software Solutions have been at Birmingham’s NEC on the 3rd & 4th November exhibiting their Careblox software at the annual Careshow.
Calling upon First Media’s design services, we came up with a brilliant stand with custom graphics all designed and produced in house which made sure Careblox caught the eye. With a flag raised 3 metres above the stand, Plasma screens and illuminated panels, you definitely knew where to go for your care home software. Just shows how well First Media and First Software work in harmony together with preparations for the 2010 Bournemouth Careshow already underway.
Sales Manager Linda said “It was great to meet some of our current customers and to be able to show them our new products. Overall it was a very productive 2 days and we had a brilliant response to Care plans and our Time and Attendance software”.

Lincs2 & 11-19 Event
As First Media has been designing and developing the web-sites for both Lincs2 www.lincs2.co.uk and 11-19stuff www.11-19stuff.co.uk we were asked to design a display stand and brand the recent event which was held at Immingham Civic Hall early September. With branded tablecloths, Pop Up stands, promotional videos, pens and information leaflets the event definitely showed the full potential of what Lincs2 and 11-19stuff are trying to achieve and also what First Media can provide for you at an event.
The stand looked really eye catching and displayed all the features of the web-site which allows students to see what courses they can participate in to progress their education in the North Lincolnshire area. With laptops set-up on the stand this allowed students to try the web-sites for themselves and provided an exciting interactive area.

Overall it was another successful year for The FA and we have enjoyed working with them! Take a look at some photos...
