Meet our Administrator, Shell

The most recent has been the half Tough Mudder, a trial before taking the plunge for the big one next year. Shell wanted to see how far she could push herself, however, she believes all the training in the world couldn’t have prepared her!

“I honestly don’t think any of that could have prepared me for how hard it was to get over those huge obstacles!!! Some people make it look so easy.”

 Unperturbed by the challenge and the broken finger she collected on the way, Michelle loved the experience and is looking forward to the real deal next year. 

“I enjoyed it all, the atmosphere, total strangers helping you all to complete the obstacles, it was just one huge team.”

When she’s not working or keeping fit, Michelle is a family person, enjoying being a mum, wife, sister and friend to those around her.

“Both kids do after school activities, so juggling those as well as two dogs, one of which is a puppy is challenging. Both my husband and I work full time, so when it comes to the weekend we like to make sure we spend time together, with family and friends and get out for the day for activities, zoo’s, the beach, or our latest one is Dalby forest for the day followed by overnight camping at the outdoor pop up cinema.”  

Previous to working at First Media, Michelle had two-part time jobs alongside each other working as a cook in a lovely tea room/café and an evening shift at a supermarket once the children had gone to bed. Shell enjoys working at First Media and feels that she has learnt a lot since joining the team…

“I think we all get on great! This is the first time I have ever worked in a computer based job, so all completely new for me, and if I’m honest sometimes pretty nerve raking, but all the guys have always been there to help or reassure me!”

Shell hopes to continue learning within the company and moving forward as the company grows.
